Our Culture: At Liberty Rock School, we create our culture through traditions, celebrations, presentations and events that support our vision to create firm foundations centered on our Savior.
Liberty Rock School loves traditions that support our mission, methods and purpose. Some of these traditions include our daily devotionals for both faculty and entire classrooms that launch each day by inviting the Spirit. We do so with scriptures, poems, memorizations, inspiring presentations and other supplemental ideas.
These wonderful daily starts, become a part of each child’s heart and are presented as formal hour long devotionals to parents and faculty, each spring, as a compilation of all gathered into the heart and soul of each child throughout the year of hosting daily devotionals.
Furthermore, at Liberty Rock, we additionally develop our unique culture by supporting our academics with celebrations that reinforce learning to be fun, joyful and meaningful. After each carefully selected piece of literature is completed and has been studied and discussed in depth, our well-educated students then get to enjoy a “celebration” to reinforce the many things they have learned from the literature. These are typically an all out effort by everyone contributing, including faculty, parent helpers, students and administrators all coming together for a purposeful celebration with depth, meaning and longevity of remembrance as to it’s purpose, theme and educational lesson. (and they are just a blast!)
Liberty Rock carefully selects programs and events that also enhance the mission, vision and intended experience for each student. Some traditions include holidays, local concerts and events held at American Heritage School in American Fork, UT. Students are given opportunities to present in classroom settings, in the community and in large gatherings as an entire school.
Liberty Rock seeks to pattern our culture after the well-established, time tested, and proven model of culture that exists at American Heritage School in American Fork, UT. American Heritage, through their Latter-Day Learning distance program has provided support and resources, through their Academy Leader Training Program, to assist Liberty Rock School in accomplishing a similar culture and standard of excellence and excellent character.
We Seek To Emulate the Culture of American Heritage
The following video highlights well, aspects of American Heritage culture that we, at Liberty Rock School, seek to emulate.
Why Liberty Rock?
“I love having this resource as a supplement to what I am doing at home with my children. It opens up resources and opportunities to my children that I wouldn’t be able to provide to them on my own.”
As a student, my favorite part about Liberty Rock is the Christ-centered atmosphere and educational environment. It keeps me close to the spirit through-out my day in all my decisions, and helps me keep my baptismal covenant, to always remember the Lord.

I am so grateful to have so many options within the offerings of Liberty Rock so that I am free to create the ideal schedule and experience for each of my 8 children. Their needs and interests are so varied that one model doesn’t work for all of them. Liberty Rock gives our family the options we need to help our children thrive with their individual talents!
The Family School curriculum was exactly what we needed. The material is academically rigorous and inspiring, while my kids love the rich variety of resources that are offered to enrich each lesson.
I love the way the Family School curriculum links each academic concept with spiritual truths.
